WHAT WE DO

This is anBeginning 2025 and Beyond

FOUNDATIONAL PILLARS OF THE JAMAICA RISING DAY PARADE

The Jamaica Rising Day Parade is built on four transformational pillars that drive education, cultural preservation, community upliftment, and economic advancement. These pillars form the core architecture of every partnership, program, and initiative we deploy.

When donors give, they invest in the future of Jamaicans and Jamaican Americans.

Cultural Preservation & National Pride

Honoring the Past • Celebrating the Present • Inspiring the Future

We embrace, elevate, and protect the essence of Jamaican identity. From our music and folklore to culinary arts, fashion, and storytelling, we ignite national pride while ensuring that Jamaica’s cultural legacy is recognized, respected, and replicated across generations.

    Your investment supports:

    Global Education & Exchange

    National cultural and heritage exhibitions
    Parade stages and artistic showcases
Reggae music, dance, and spoken-word initiatives
Educational and cultural programming for youth
By doing this, we keep Jamaican culture alive, locally, internationally, and digitally.

Building Minds • Bridging Nations • Expanding Horizons

Education is our passport to global relevance. Through dynamic international exchange programs, we connect Jamaica’s youth and educators with opportunities that broaden their worldview, sharpen their leadership skills, and prepare them to thrive in an interconnected global community.

    Your investment supports:

    International Youth Exchange Programs
    International Educator Exchange Programs
Culturally grounded, school-based curricula through School News Nationwide (SNN) and Tour For Tolerance (TFT)
These initiatives cultivate confident, culturally grounded, globally competitive citizens who proudly represent Jamaica on the world stage.

    Community Empowerment & Social Impact

Strengthening Families • Uplifting Neighborhoods • Uniting Communities

The Jamaica Rising movement extends well beyond celebration and transforms lives. We collaborate with grassroots leaders, advocacy groups, and civic agencies to address pressing social challenges and provide direct pathways to empowerment, safety, and opportunity.

    Your investment supports:

    Anti-hate, anti-violence, and inclusion initiatives
Youth mentorship, leadership training, and civic engagement
Disaster relief collaboration and community resource mobilization
Through these efforts, we turn pride into purpose and community into capacity.

    Economic Development & Diaspora Mobilization

One People • One Network • One Prosperous Future

The Jamaica Rising is a gateway to economic empowerment. By engaging the Jamaican diaspora, corporate partners, and international investors, we create opportunities that generate jobs, empower families, and expand Jamaica’s presence in global markets.

    Your investment supports:

    Business and trade networking opportunities
    Vendor inclusion and small-business development
Tourism promotion, cultural commerce, and diaspora-driven investments
With unity comes economic power, and with financial power, Jamaica rises.

    The Faces Behind the Vision

Honoring the Leaders of the Jamaica Rising Day Parade

Behind every great movement stands a circle of visionaries, individuals whose purpose, skill, and faith shape the moment into history. The Jamaica Rising Day Parade is a declaration of identity, unity, and progress.

At its core stands Dr. Bill Tinglin, Founder and Chairman, whose lifelong mission is to uplift communities through education, cultural pride, and humanitarian service. Around him is a team of distinguished professionals, each representing a pillar of excellence in governance, medicine, media, education, and public safety.

Together, they embody the spirit of Jamaica: bold, resilient, and rooted in love for people. Their collective leadership will ensure that this first-ever Jamaica Rising Day Parade, to be held on August 1, 2026, in New York City, honors Jamaica’s global legacy while inspiring future generations.
